The Pasti Lanjutan Program (PASTI II) organized by the Arbeiter Samariter Bund (ASB) South and South East Asia together with Paluma Nusantara and the South Lampung Regency Government (Pemkab) has officially begun.
The opening of the PASTI II project activities in South Lampung Regency was carried out simultaneously with the discussion of the 2025 Annual Work Plan (RKT), at the Krakatau Hall, South Lampung Regency Secretariat, Tuesday (12/11/2024).
Capacity Building and Engagement Government Manager of ASB South and South East Asia, Rofikul Hidayat explained that the PASTI II program will be implemented in two villages in Sidomulyo District, namely Talang Baru Village and Sukabanjar Village.
According to Rofikul Hidayat, the selection of the two villages took into account the level of disaster risk in the South Lampung Regency area. Later, Talang Baru and Sukabanjar Villages will be trained to become disaster-ready villages such as tsunamis, floods or other natural disasters.
“I hope the selected villages will be pilots and inspire other villages. Have early preparedness for potential landslides, tsunamis, floods,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Expert Staff of the Regent for Government, Law and Politics of the South Lampung Regency Government, Anton Carmana, expressed his appreciation and support for the programs that will be implemented by ASB South and South East Asia together with partners in Bumi Khagom Mufakat.
Anton Carmana said that the PASTI II Program focuses on providing communities with disaster management training, providing disaster mitigation facilities, and increasing awareness through community-based education.
“Of course, the South Lampung Regency Government welcomes and provides support and high appreciation to ASB and partners in strengthening the resilience and capacity of communities in disaster-risk areas,” said Anton Carmana.
Seeing the importance of implementing the PASTI II program in South Lampung Regency, Anton Carmana advised that related agencies can collaborate with each other and provide support for the program.
“I hope that the 2025 RKT workshop can accommodate all input from all parties, as a form of our cooperation and collaboration in supporting the PASTI II program in South Lampung,” said Anton Carmana.
