Suspect behind KLIA shooting to be brought to KL today

PETALING JAYA: The 38-year-old suspect behind the shooting incident at the arrival terminal of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 will be brought to the capital today for further investigation.

Suspect, Hafizul Harawi is believed to be brought to the Air Operation Force (PGU) Base in Subang Jaya at 2pm.

Police have obtained a seven-day remand order against him which was obtained at the Kota Baru magistrates court this morning.

The suspect was arrested at a location in Kota Bharu, around 3pm yesterday. Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain confirmed the arrest.

The wife of the bodyguard, Muhammad Nur Hadith, who was shot in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has expressed her relief over the suspect’s arrest.
