MCA president Datuk Dr Seri Wee Ka Siong says the Barisan Nasional election machinery at the grassroots level in Gemas is doing well for the state polls.
He said the Gemas division, which received support from its Ayer Hitam counterpart, would aid coalition candidate Datuk Abd Razak Ab Said for the constituency.
“(This is) to return the favour to Tampin Umno helping Ling Tian Soon win the Yong Peng state seat in the 2022 Johor state election,” Dr Wee said in a Facebook post after visiting the Gemas Barisan operations room.
Earlier, Abd Razak was accompanied by Ling and Johor Deputy Speaker Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali to the nomination centre.
“Hoping to receive the people’s mandate for Barisan to serve here. Abd Razak is an excellent candidate with the experience to serve the Gemas constituency well,” said Dr Wee.
Later, Dr Wee also visited Lenggeng and stopped by Broga town.
He said MCA leaders, including party vice-presidents Datuk Lim Ban Hong and Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker, visited the Sak Dato’ Temple, which is now a popular tourist destination for both local and foreign tourists
“The view from here is stunning, and the lush greenery surrounding is a sight to behold.
“This place has offered great help to the poor, and as of now, the temple has donated more than RM6.5mil to the public. Well done!”
