Finnair could launch Uzbekistan-bound flights

Conference call was held between officials of the Ministry of Transport, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia, the Ministry of Investments, Uzbekistan Airports and Finnair.

At the meeting, the director of Finnair airline’s department of relations with public authorities, T. Koskinen touched upon the prospects of launching direct flights for tourists from Scandinavian countries to Uzbekistan, and shared the airline’s plans.

The airline announced that it was interested in carrying out passenger service based on Code sharing agreements with Uzbekistan Airways, and operating cargo flights.

During the dialogue, Uzbek officials noted that the Ministry of Transport fully supports the proposals of foreign airlines to launch new flights to Uzbekistan.
